will not harden or crack.no curing time. solvent free. and acts as a thread lubricant. non-toxic. non-flammable. unlimited shelf life. colour coded. recommended services: for use on metal assemblies carrying natural gas propane, town gas, LPG and TLP. temperature range -10c to +135c.   and along with being available in a brush top can is also available in a easy to use handy size sealable  syringe which accurately delivers the compound to where it is needed with less mess  and waste also no contamination  back into the compound. Note the syringe will not flow in cold conditions.
